NAPLES, Fla. – William K. (Bill) Graham, 88, devoted father, grandfather and friend, passed away on September 1 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 13, 1923 in Frankfort. A graduate of Frankfort High, Bill majored in chemical engineering at the University of Cincinnati before entering the Navy during WWII to train as a Navy pilot. After the war, his various professions included private pilot, farmer, tax preparer and insurance agent. In the 1970s, he served as board member for Frankfort Independent Schools.
He retired to Naples in 1988 where he was an avid golfer, bowler, swimmer, nature enthusiast, and Words with Friends whiz. He was also a dedicated volunteer at the City of Naples Finance Dept, often working 20+ hour weeks. He was generous with friends and neighbors, eagerly lending a hand whenever he could be of help.
Bill was predeceased by his wife, Jean Sullivan Graham. He is survived by two sons, a daughter, a sister, Jean Smith of Elephant Butte, NM and four beloved granddaughters, Emma, Sophie, Kali and Tessa, whom he missed so very much.
