Milton Wiley Copeland III, age 75, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012, at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, KY.
Services for Mr. Copeland will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2012, at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Elam Cemetery, West Liberty, KY. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
A native of Gadsden, Alabama, he was born September 25, 1936.
Mr. Copeland was a civil engineer and retired from the Department of Transportation, Commonwealth of Kentucky.
He is survived by his sons, David Copeland (Rebecca), Frankfort, Jeffrey A. Copeland (Ling), Naperville, IL; a brother, Raymond Copeland, Siguatepeque, Honduras; sisters, Shirley Arcuri, Tampa, FL, Glenda Etheredge, Birmingham, AL; five grandchildren, Jeremy Copeland, San Diego, CA, Christy Hill, Lawrenceburg, Lisa Copeland, Naperville, IL, John Lombardi, Naperville, IL, and Mary Davis, Lexington; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genova Lee Johnson Copeland, and his parents, Milton Wiley Copeland, Jr. and Freda White Copeland.
Bearers will be David Copeland, Jeff Copeland, Jeremy Copeland and Barry Williams.
