Services for Lindsay Thurman, 66 yrs., will be conducted from Harrod Brothers Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2012, with Reverend George Maloney officiating. Burial will follow in Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Mr. Thurman passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospice Care Center, Lexington.
Born October 27, 1945, in Franklin Co., KY, to the late Lawrence Thurman and Edna Wright Thurman Woods, Lindsay was co-owner of L&B Thurman Construction, Inc. and a Kentucky Colonel. He was a loving husband, father, and Papaw, as well as a servant of the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Richardson Thurman; son, Kelly Withers (Bettina); two daughters, Michele Brewer (Donnie) and Tammy Combs (Gary); a brother; six sisters; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Wayne Thurman; and great grandson, Logan Collins.
Chris Collins, Will Kerns, Tyler Sands, Tim Jumpp, Gary Combs, and Kayce Gosney will serve as Pallbearers.
