Richard W. Peffer

LAWRENCEBURG – Services for Richard Wayne Peffer, 56, will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.

He died suddenly Sunday, November 25, 2012 at his residence. He is the son of Mary Kay Lewis Peffer of Lawrenceburg and the late Howard Sidney Peffer.

Richard was a self-employed concrete contractor, attended the University of Kentucky, and served in the U.S. Army. One of his greatest enjoyments was caring for his dogs.

Including his mother, he is survived by his wife of 20 years, Debbie Kerr Peffer; four sons, Jeff Rion (Elizabeth) of Harrodsburg, Jeremy Rion and Joseph Rion of Shelbyville, and James Rion (Mandy) of Louisville; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Howard “Buck” Peffer, Jr. of Lawrenceburg, and Philip Peffer (Trita) of Frankfort; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Bros. Brian Keith Monroe and Jason Green will officiate the service at 7 p.m.
