Sally Brawner Polsgrove, age 89, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Services for Mrs. Polsgrove will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012, at First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
A native of Frankfort, she was born January 22, 1923, to the late Elliott and Hattie Roach Brawner. Mrs. Polsgrove was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Peaks Mill Homemakers Club and Senior Citizens. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and share her foods with family and friends, especially her homemade vegetable soup and yeast breads. She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Trent (Hugh), Gainesville, FL; three grandchildren, David Lee Trent (Katia), Hartford, CT, Brian Hugh Trent (Alicia), Houston, TX and Marilyn Cheek (Jeffrey), Knoxville, TN; and a brother, Hubert Brawner (Nancy), Louisville.
Mrs. Polsgrove was the widow of Raymond Lee Polsgrove and in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Everett and Mim Brawner and two sisters, Mary Broughton and Daphne Brawner.
