  • Dear Smith Family...Marianne and I extend our sincere condolences, prayers and warmest regards as you celebrate the life of your mom, sister and friend. I have the fondest memories of Doris and her faithful sister and sidekick, Betty Robertson. State Tourney time in Louisville, surviving all of us and our high jinks during junior high, high school and college. Your mother (and Betty) was a saint and survived and thrived during it all and met life's challenges with humor, grace and aplomb! As a mother of such a large family (in such a small house!), she balanced and juggled the family, a job, but found time for UK basketball, travel, cards and such a zest for life. Doris was one of the good ones and I feel blessed to be an outsider with an insider's perspective, appreciation and privilege of being at little part of the Smith Family and Robertson clan! I'm disappointed that I am unable to attend Doris' service, but please know that I am with you in thought and spirit! God rest your soul Doris Smith! Warmest regards to all of the Smiths during this difficult, but celebratory time. Warmest regards...Tom Yunt
