Betty Travis

Betty H. Travis, 76, of Elizabethtown died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at her residence.

She was a native of Franklin County, a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church and retired after 40 years as a schoolteacher for Elizabethtown and Hardin County Schools.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy K. Travis; parents, Robert and Beulah Barbour Henderson; a sister, Louise Logan; and a brother, J. L. Henderson.

She is survived by her sons, Brad (Gayle) Travis and Todd Travis both of Elizabethtown; sister, Mary Helen Sinkhorn of Stamping Ground, KY; and two grandchildren, Zac and Katie Travis. 

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Roger McCurry officiating. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 10th at Frankfort City Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
