Marjorie Joyce Smith

Marjorie Joyce Smith, 82, widow of Jeff Smith, III, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at her residence.

She was born in Ohio to the late John and Hosea Feltner Shell on June 30, 1930. Mrs. Smith was an artist and a long time member of the Lexington Farmers Market and known as “The Gourd Lady” and “Granny” to many friends. 

She is survived by her son, Jefferson D. Smith, IV, Frankfort; her daughter, Marguerite Smith Bratton, FL; two granddaughters, Maranda and Laura Ann (Luke); one great grandson, Leland; Sherry, Fern, Mary, Penny, Bill, and special friends, Shirley, Eric and Aidan.

Funeral Services will be Monday December 17, 2012 at 7pm at Clark Legacy Center on Versailles Road. Visitation will be Monday from 4pm until the time of service. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
