Frank Wagoner

Frank Wagoner, age 76, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012, at home following a long illness. Services for Mr. Wagoner will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Perkins and Rev. Everett Hawkins officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. today at the church.

A native of Winchester, he was born February 3, 1936, to the late Clarence and Viola Wagers Wagoner. Mr. Wagoner retired from Brock-McVey Company after 43 ½ years of employment. He was an avid golfer and a long-time member of the Men’s Association and Senior’s League at Juniper Hills Golf Course and served as a coach in Little League baseball for many years. Mr. Wagoner was a member and deacon of Faith Baptist Church.

Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He loved his family and especially enjoyed hosting holiday celebrations in their home. His church and church family were dear to him, but most of all he loved the Lord and is now resting peacefully in His precious arms.

Frank was preceded in death by two sisters Helen Bailey and Mary Wagoner, two brothers Ernest Wagoner and John Wagoner, and one brother-in-law Robert Brewer. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara Perkins Wagoner; son, Billy Ray Wagoner and wife Debbie of Murray; his granddaughters, the apples of his eye, Blair Wagoner of Memphis TN and Katie Wagoner of Louisville; a brother Donald Wagoner (Linda) of Lexington; sister-in-law Patricia Brewer; and brother-in-law Billy Perkins (Elizabeth); aunts Hazel Lamb and Lois Mastin. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Tammy Bradley, Robert Brewer Jr., Stephen Perkins, Stewart Perkins, Mary Elizabeth Hutchison, Bill Hutchison and Ray Hutchison all of Frankfort; Donnie & Steve Wagoner of Lexington; other nieces and nephews in Texas and several cousins. Special adopted family includes John & Debbie Anglin and Margaret Daniel.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Hall, John Anglin, Danny Willard, Elic Jones, Danny Bailey, Robert Brewer, Stephen Perkins, Stewart Perkins and Justin Bradley. Honorary pallbearers will be Randall Gay, Lawrence Watson, Bill Hutchison, Ray Hutchison, Gippy Graham, Marshall Ray Graham, Randy Graham, Juniper Hills Senior Golf League and Deacons of Faith Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory are suggested to Faith Baptist Church Deacons’ Fund or Building Fund, 50 Bridgeport-Benson Road, Frankfort KY 40601.
