Services for David (Dave) Redwine Hollan, Jr. 91, will be held in Rogers Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Monday.
Mr. Hollan, who died Thursday morning in the Golden Living Center, will be buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Born on July 3, 1921, Mr. Hollan was the son of the late D.R. and Jane Barrett Hollan. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the V.F.W., the American Legion, and Thornhill Baptist Church.
His life philosophy was family first, faith, and friends, and he was an avid University of Kentucky fan.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Alma Brown Hollan; four daughters, Margaret Ann Bryan, Pamela Marie Wright (David), Linda Jo Wood (Greg), and Deborah Jean Sweasy; one son, David R. Hollan, III (Marilyn); a brother, Franklin D. Hollan; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Tracy and Bennie Jo Current.
The Rev. William Hartung will officiate the services.
Friends may call at Rogers from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Hollan’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
