Virginia C. Luscher

Funeral services for Virginia C. Luscher, 90, Frankfort will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Church of the Ascension, Frankfort. Fathers Jesse Neat and Bill Brown will officiate. Burial will follow at Frankfort Cemetery.

A native of Frankfort, she died Wednesday at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. She was a graduate of Frankfort High School and a retired Executive Secretary from the Dept. of Military Affairs and Legislative Research Commission after 30 years of service. She was a lifelong member of the Church of the Ascension, an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards with The Ladies Card Group.

She was the daughter of the late August Ethelbert and Rose Anna Maurer Luscher and was preceded in death by brothers August, Jr., Albert, Richard and sisters Rose Pridgen and Marie Ramsey; nephew Melvin Grant Ramsey and Tom Pridgen, Jr.

Survivors include nieces Carolyn Nesselrode, Joan (Edward) Goins, both of Frankfort; Janice (Lloyd) Ogden, Cynthiana, Cathy (Mac) Quarles, Tammy (Walter) Weitzel, Frankfort; Rose Sara (David) Slonaker, Columbus, GA; Betty Ann Luscher, Patricia (Jimmy) Richardson, Frankfort; nephews Tom (Barbara) Luscher, Douglas (Jesse) Luscher, Michael (Fran) Luscher, Frankfort, 24 great-nieces and nephews and 27 great-great-nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tom Luscher, Douglas Luscher, Allen Richardson, Steven Richardson, Christopher Jones, Jeffrey Ramsey and Jason Ramsey.

Visitation will be held Monday 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the church.
