Mary Elizabeth Stephens

FRANKFORT — Mary Elizabeth Stephens, 92, widow of Roy L. Stephens, died of natural causes on Friday, January 4, 2013.

A native of Frankfort, KY, she was born on May 14, 1922, to the late Ashley and Mary C. Wells Ragland. Mrs. Stephens was a homemaker and a member of Broadway Christian Church in Lexington.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Tammy (James) Parsons-Irby, Versailles. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara A. Brewer; her sister, Mattie Ragland; and her brothers, Hardin Ragland and Miles Ragland. 

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2013, at Clark Legacy Center on Versailles Rd. Rev. Ernie Perry will officiate.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
