Rose Brown

Rose Anna Ellis Brown, age 73, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at home.

Services for Mrs. Brown will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013, at First Corinthian Baptist Church with Rev. Victor Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Andrew S. Brown; sister Sandra (Henry) Davis; sons Chris and James Brown; daughter Lesley; two grandchildren Deja Brown and Tori Payne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents James “Buddy” Ellis and Anna Laura Shannon Ellis and one brother Dr. Cassius M.C. Ellis.

She was a member of First Corinthian Baptist Church, Ebonettes and Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post 176.

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Jackson Funeral Home.
