PORT HURON, Mich. — Jo Beverly Cosgrove, 67, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in Port Huron Hospital.
She was born August 6, 1945 in Frankfort, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Dorothy Bryan.
Jo was a member of St. Edward On The Lake Catholic Church, was their organist for over 27 years, and was involved in their choir and music program. She also played the organ at other surrounding churches. Jo enjoyed swimming in her younger years, and was a Detroit Tigers fan. Jo was a very faithful and humble person.
One of her greatest joys was teaching her granddaughter, Cameron, to play the piano.
She is survived by two sons, Ian (Irish Swanson) Cosgrove of St. Clair Shores and Justin (Kristy) Cosgrove of Kenockee; her granddaughter, Camero Jo Cosgrove; and close friend, Judy Woodall. She is preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Kearns, and a brother, Larry Bryan.
A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 in St. Edward On The Lake Catholic Church with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. The Reverend Father Lee Acervo will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the church in honor of Jo.
