Betty Shelton

Memorial services for Betty Lou “Momma B” Taylor Shelton, 65, will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7 at Bethel Baptist Church, 8200 Owenton Road, Frankfort, KY 40601. Betty Lou passed away January 31, 2013. She was born in Heidrick (Knox Co.) Kentucky, to the late Pinkney Allen “Bud” Taylor and Mary Magdeline Moore on April 4, 1947. She married Donald Shelton on December 19, 1964. A 1982 graduate of Kentucky State University, Mrs. Shelton retired as a RN from Frankfort Career Development Center.

She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Cooper, Margaret Shelton-Charles (Dennis), and Paige Flynn. Three brothers Orvile Taylor of Artemus, Joe Taylor (Hazel) of Gary IN, and Allen Taylor (Regina) of Artemus; sister Fredia Parrott of Cranes Nest. Three grandchildren Patric Flynn, Sophia Charles, and Mary Grace Cooper. Two great-grandchildren Madilyn Suter and Levi Tackett.
