Allen Estill

Allen Dale Estill, 69, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, February 9, 2013, following his battle with cancer.

Services for Allen will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Stratton officiating. Burial will follow in Switzer Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.

He was born April 29, 1943, in Switzer to the late James and Virginia Estill.

Mr. Estill retired from Frankfort Regional Medical Center after 40 years of service as an X-Ray Technician. He was a graduate of Franklin County High School and a member of the Air Force and Kentucky National Guard.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda Slucher Estill; his children, Shane A. Estill and Cassie L. Estill; three beautiful grandchildren, Ahleea’ Davis, Trenton Davis and Madeline Estill; brother, Jimmie Estill, of Lawrenceburg; and sister, Susan Estill Gardner, of Switzer. Danny Slucher, Alan Slucher, Larry Slucher, William Manns, Ashley Cardwell and James C. Estill will serve as pallbearers.

  • I have such fond memories of Allen and days gone by. Our sympathies to the family and prayers to all. I know he is in a better place and with loved ones he had to say goodbye to over the years, but we will always remember him...we were so lucky to have had him in our lives.
