Maxine Vahle Donaldson, 88, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013, at University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Services for Mrs. Donaldson will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home with Dr. Glenn Birkett officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the service.
A native of Jamestown, TN she was born November 17, 1924. Mrs. Donaldson was a homemaker and a member of St. John Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Herbert Clay Donaldson Jr. (Sallie) of Danville; sister, Alene Crabtree of Mishawaka, IN; three grandchildren, Tammy Goins Fields (Mike), Kim Goins Smith (Richard) of Frankfort, Clay Donaldson, Danville; great grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor and Tanner Smith, Noah Fields; and a great-great grandson, Elijah Harris.
Mrs. Donaldson was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Clay Donaldson; a daughter, Judith Donaldson Woolums; parents, Lewis and Anna Keeton Vahle; and brothers, Eugene and John D. Vahle.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Mrs. Donaldson’s memory are suggested to Franklin County Council on Aging, Meals on Wheels Program, 202 Medical Heights Dr., Frankfort, KY 40601.
