Wayne Wylie

LEXINGTON – Wayne Wylie, 75, husband of Joe Ann for 57 years, died on February 15, 2013 at the UK Medical Center.

He was born in Switzer, KY to the late George and Christine Wylie. He was a graduate of Elkhorn High School and attended Georgetown College, a member and deacon of Eastminster Presbyterian Church and retired from U.S. Postal Service. Wayne left a legacy of love for his family and the youth he coached in football, basketball and baseball.

Other survivors include his children, Mike (Connie) Wylie, Denita (Billy) Marsh, Marty (Veda) Wylie and Tom (Nancy) Wylie; his grandchildren, Adam, Tyler, Brooke, Heather, and Brayden Wylie, David and Andrew Marsh; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Savanna Marsh and Jaelyn Wheeler.

Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road, by Rev. John White. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be grandsons and Andy Davis, Whitt Beretta and Wesley Hartup. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Young, Guy Harris, Doug Flynn, Barry Gorham, Ken Kendrick, and Brayden Wylie.
