LAWRENCEBURG – Paul Wallace Gill, 55, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Hospice Care Center in Lexington. He was predeceased by his father Joseph Anthony Gill in 2011 and a brother Shaun Wallace Gill.
Paul was born on January 25, in Barnsley, England and served in The Royal Navy before moving to KY. He received a B.S. degree in Computer Software and worked as an electrician. Paul served over 12 years on the Anderson County Fire District Board, former chairman of the Anderson Co. Burgoo Festival, taught industrial electricity at B.C.T.C., and was instrumental in starting the archery team at Anderson County High School. Paul and his wife are members of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Frankfort.
Paul is survived by his wife of 25 years, Marva Polsgrove Gill, three sons, James Gill and his wife Brandy of Oneida, KY, John Gill and his daughter Makyli Gill of Fayetteville, WV, Ian Gill of Lawrenceburg, and his in-laws, Marvin and Betty Polsgrove of Frankfort.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 23rd at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1800 Louisville Rd., Frankfort, KY. Rev. Elvyn L. Hamilton will officiate.
