Everett Ray “E. Ray” Moore, 91 years, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Golden Living Center – Frankfort.
Services for Mr. Moore will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Crestwood Baptist Church. Rev. Bill McDonald will officiate with Mr. Bill Coakley and Mr. Ira Linville assisting. Burial will follow in Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation will be at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.
A native of Franklin County, he was born March 1, 1922, to Thurman and Laura Smith Moore. Mr. Moore holds a Master of Education, served in the United States Air Force during World War II and retired from IBM, where he was Transportation and Distribution Manager and Product Planning Manager. He was a member of Crestwood Baptist Church, the Ambassadors Class, VFW Post 4075 and Hiram Lodge #4 F&AM.
Mr. Moore is survived by his granddaughter, Laura Moore Davin, Cincinnati, OH; great grandson, Arlo Davin; nephew, Brent Poole, Frankfort, KY; niece, Mary Evelyn Poole, Frankfort, KY; and a brother, Selbert Moore, LaJolla, CA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Poole Moore; son, Michael Ray Moore; daughter-in-law, Ann Harrod Moore; his parents; a brother, Carl Moore; and two sisters, Ruby Babb and Leona Moore.
Geoff Davin, Bob Mallory, Bill Mann, Allen Parke, Brent Poole and James Walker will serve as pallbearers. Honorary bearers will be members of the Ambassadors Class, Crestwood Baptist Church.
