Services for Linda Parsons, 66 yrs., will be conducted from Harrod Brothers Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday with Reverend Dan Luttrell officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, Georgetown. Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Parsons passed away Wednesday at her residence.
Born in Shelby Co., KY, Linda was a former employee for American Legion Post 7 and attended Antioch Church. Linda was an avid UK basketball fan who also enjoyed family time, sewing, quilting, cooking and baking, and holiday feasts with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Willie D. Parsons; two sons, Samuel (Beverly) McGuire and Willie Daniel (Debbie) Parsons; two daughters, Rhonda (Arnold II) McGuire Riddle and Samantha (Andy) McGuire James; a brother, Bobby Ford; three sisters, Frances (Larry Gene) Shelton, Judy (Irvin) Pickett, and Ruth (Bob) Clark; grandchildren, Justin and JJ Meador, Corey Parsons, Chasiti D. Brooks, Amanda D., Adrianne D., April D., and Alicia D. Riddle; and Jordan W. Crawley; nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved Chihuahua, Skeeter.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil A. and Maggie M. McDonald Ford; brother, Cecil A. Ford, Jr.; and sisters, Sue Hall and Norma Jean Harrod.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy in memory of Linda be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass/Frankfort Office, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601.
Justin Meador, JJ Meador, Corey Parsons, Jordan W. Crawley, Christopher Podrasky, and Robert Garcia will serve as Pallbearers.
