Eleanor Frances Parrent Estill went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 23, 2013. She was born on December 31, 1933, in Frankfort to the late Richard Henry “Dick” and Anna Mae (Ellis) Parrent. Eleanor graduated in 1951 from Frankfort High School. She worked her whole life being a wife and mother, babysitting nieces, typesetter in several print shops, worked for State Government earlier in life, and then returned later to retire from the Department of Insurance, Fraud Division. After retiring, she returned to work in the message center at LRC. Eleanor was a member of the North Fork Baptist Church.
Eleanor was funny, opinionated, loved people and people loved her. She loved animals, especially all her pets over the years. She was a huge Kentucky Wildcats fan. She loved to play Bingo with all her buddies, played sports, loved to watch sports, played cards and going to the boat.
Eleanor is survived by her daughters who were her life, Nancy Ann (Ricky) Bailey, Frankfort, and Elizabeth “Betsy” Clay (Jeffrey) Gallup, LaGrange; her precious grandchildren, Brendan Ray Jones, Ericka Don Bailey and Cameron James Covany; and her beloved brother, Bill (Sharon) Parrent.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray S. Estill, whom she married on March 14, 1959, and lost way too soon; brothers, Richard Clay Parrent and Jack Taylor Parrent; and sisters, Ellis Mae Catlett and Wanda Games.
Visitation will be on Monday from 5-8 p.m., at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at 11a.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Jay Stratton officiating. Burial will follow at the Switzer Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Bailey, Troy Bailey, Jeffrey Gallup, Barry House, Brendan Ray Jones and David Turley. Honorary pallbearers are Ericka Don Bailey and Cameron James Covany.
