Cathleen Adams, 47, was born September 25, 1965. She died August 15, 2013, after a long illness. She was cremated and no formal service will be held. She was preceded in death by her adoptive father, Russell Stanley Adams, St. Paul, Minnesota.
Cathleen is survived by Erica O’Brien, her sister, Jake O’Brien, her brother-in-law, and Leone Couzin, her nephew, Louisville, Kentucky; her adoptive mother, Ruby Franklin Adams, and adoptive sister, Patricia Adams, St. Paul, Minnesota; her Aunt Lois Spencer and cousins, Stan and Jon Bartley, Kansas; her birth mother, Kathy Peckham and siblings, John Peckham, Tami Pena and Kirk Peckham, Prescott, Arizona, and Kristi Park, Honolulu, Hawaii; her long time friends, Gretchen Johnson, George Jones and Andy Gentry. Cathleen is also survived by her two puppy dogs, Moxy and Betty.
After many years of travel, she made her home in Kentucky. She graduated from Kentucky State University in 2000 and was an environmentalist. She had a love of kayaking and camping. She worked for 15 years in State Government with the Justice Cabinet, Department of Corrections, and the Energy and Environmental Cabinet. She was certified as a Sharp Shooter on the SWAT Team while working for Corrections.
