Russell L. Ingram Jr., 78, Frankfort, passed away at his home September 21, 2013, after a long battle with leukemia. Mr. Ingram was born in Perry County, KY, on June 23, 1936, to the late Russell L. Ingram Sr. and Ruth Ford Ingram.
Russell graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked for North American Aviation, in the Rocketdyne Division in Canoga Park, California, for 13 years before returning to his home state. He then worked for the State of Kentucky in the Real Property Division, and retired from the Department of Transportation. He was a member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, and a long-time member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Louetta Stout Ingram; three children, Donna Ingram Cerjak (David), Dianne Ingram (Dan Everson), and Jason Russell Ingram (Ambie); four grandchildren; and one sister, Lillian Stacy (Rex) of Vicco, KY.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24, from 4-6 p.m. at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home, with funeral following at 6:00 p.m. The Rev. Todd Lester will officiate.
