Rosemary Williamson Brewer, age 85, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Hospice Care Center, St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Brewer will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013, at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Phil Hill and Dr. Jackson Brewer officiating. Visitation is 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brewer was born in Frankfort on September 1, 1928, the only child of the late Barnett and Malvina Rossell Williamson. She was a graduate of Frankfort High School and attended the Business School at Good Shepherd. Mrs. Brewer retired from Bell South as a business assigner. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church where she was a Past President of United Methodist Women and Past President of the Variety Circle. She was a member of Communication Workers of America, Telephone Pioneers, Past President of Ridgeview Homemakers, Past President of Franklin County Extension Homemakers, a recipient of the Frankfort Community Pillar Award, and a two-time KY Colonel. She loved her church, her involvement in the community, and the University of Kentucky Wildcats.
Mrs. Brewer is survived by her son, Byron Brewer, Frankfort. She was the widow of Edward Thomas Brewer.
