Connie G. Woolums, 68, Frankfort, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, October 29 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, at LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home. Rev. Everett Hawkins will officiate.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
A native of Frankfort, she was the daughter of the late Stanford Curtis and Beatrice Goins Burge.
She was a former supervisor in the construction division of the Kentucky Dept. of Transportation. She had also formerly been a nurses’ aid at the old Kings Daughters Hospital. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Her passion was the raising and showing of her dogs and fostering children. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy A. Woolums; three sons, Terry A. Woolums, Frankfort, Gary (Holly) Woolums, Bradenton, FL and Billy (Bonnie) Woolums, Frankfort; grandchildren, Eric Woolums, Daryle Woolums, Matt Woolums, Andy Woolums, Francie W. Singh, Gracie, Anna, Samantha and Alivia Woolums/Smith; great-grandchildren and numerous foster children.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Van, Kenny Hall, Jim Woolums, Donald Brewer, Jimmy Gill and Bobby Wright. Visitation will be held Thursday, 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
