William Burgess Peeples, formerly of Frankfort, KY, died October 30, 2013, in Hudson, Florida at the home of his daughter. He was 69 years old, born on March 7, 1944 in Oakland, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E.B. and Margaret Peeples of Wellington, TX and his wife, Mable Peeples of Lexington, KY. He is survived by two daughters, Kristie (Dan) Allen of Frankfort, KY and Heather (Scotty) Loman of Hudson, FL, three step-children, Alvis Hickey of Jacksonville, FL, Lana (Duke) Tabb and Brian (Tonya) Hickey, of Lexington, and a sister, Joyce (Dave) Miner of El Paso, TX, twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was a retired employee of Insight Communications, Lexington, KY. He was employed in the 1970s at WFKY radio in Frankfort, KY as the chief engineer. Prior to that, he worked in radio and TV in Maryland.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was famous for long nights of karaoke. He enjoyed fishing, camping, weather-tracking and cooking.
A memorial service will be held at Camp Pleasant Baptist Church, 830 Shadrick Ferry Rd, Frankfort, KY on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 2 pm.
