Funeral services for Wilma A. Kinman, 82, of Frankfort, will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday at LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home. Dr. Jack Brewer and Bro. Billie Ray Jennings will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kinman passed away Wednesday at Taylor Manor Nursing Home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. A native of Owen county, she was a 30 year employee for Sears and enjoyed shopping for glass antiques and traveling with her husband and family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for 40 years and was a member of the Variety Circle.
Mrs. Kinman was the daughter of Fields Thomas and Lieutitia Dempsey Mallory and was preceded in death by her husband Harold “Pine Knot” Kinman and many siblings.
Survivors include her children Leanna Kinman, Frankfort, Karen Kinman, Lexington, Barney (Mary Jane) Kinman, Lexington, Benjy (Connie) Kinman, Frankfort; sister, Donna Cook, Louisville; brothers James Mallory, Louisville, Gene Mallory, Danville and Robert Mallory, Nicholasville; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ben Kinman, John Burford, Darren Kinman, Graham Shouse, Mike Rudmann and Ronnie Ray. Honorary bearers will be Amy Kinman, Kristie Rudmann, Sarah Kinman, Kayla Roots, Bettie Sullivan and Tammy Hurst.
