David Dee Dodson, 64, husband of Deborah B. Dodson, died Sun, Dec. 8, 2013, at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY.
Born July 31, 1949, in Maysville, KY, he was the son of the late Earl and Meryl Curtis Dodson.
Mr. Dodson served in the U.S. Army Special Forces and recently retired after nearly 40 years as a switch technician for AT&T. He attended Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church in Midway, KY. Mr. Dodson was an avid Nascar fan, but his greatest enjoyment was his family whom he dearly loved.
Survivors other than his wife include two sons, David Jason (Rachelle) Dodson, Lexington, KY, and Brian Andrew (Julie) Dodson, Frankfort, KY; one grandchild, Delanie Elizabeth Dodson; two sisters, Myrna Dodson (Robert) Tessitore, Loveland, OH, and Beverly Jayne (Michael) Holland, Maineville, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Wednesday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Rd., Lexington, KY, officiated by Rev. Todd Lester.
Entombment will follow in Lexington Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Doug Trimble, Norton Sudduth, Mike Triplett, Larry Thomas, Bob Pierce, Lee Foree, Henry Mitchell, Dale Roland, and Tommy Lippert. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Biddle, Gary Davis, Landon Davis, Bob Tessitore, Bobby Tessitore, Mike Holland, and Greg Caudill.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. Wednesday until the service time at the funeral home.
