Rickie Allen Rawlins, 58, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013.
Services will be held at Choateville Christian Church, Frankfort, KY, at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, with the Reverend Mike Napier officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will also be at the church, on Monday, December 16, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A native of Franklin County, Rickie was born on August 6, 1955, to Allen Eugene and Edith Brown Rawlins. He was lead man press operator with I.T.W. Powertrain in Lexington, Kentucky, and a member of Choateville Christian Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Amy Dennis Rawlins; two daughters, Latanya Barmore and Darlene Rawlins; a sister, Sue Dobbins (Lonnie); grandson, Jacob Reynolds; granddaughter, Savannah Price (Garrett); great-granddaughter, Kaylin Price; and nephew, Michael Dobbins. He was preceded in death by his father.
Jacob Reynolds, Kuy Parker, Aaron Jones, Brian Sudduth, Alvin Calvert, and Michael Dobbins will serve as pallbearers. Honorary bearers are Timmy Parrish, Lincoln Parrish, and five brothers-in-law.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his memory be made to Choateville Christian Church God’s Pantry, 1533 Devils Hollow Road, Frankfort, KY 40601, or to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601
