Beulah Narene Leach Moore, 92, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013, at University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.
Services for Mrs. Moore will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2013, at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home with Dr. Chuck Queen and Rev. Malcolm Lunceford officiating. Burial will follow in Paris Cemetery. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday from 5-7 p.m.
A native of Bourbon County, she was born May 29, 1921, to Stevie M. and Loretta Faulconer Leach. She was a graduate of Center Hill High School in Bourbon County where she attended the reunion every year with her nephew, Granville Leach. Beulah retired from Sears in Frankfort. In her younger years she enjoyed fishing and camping with her husband, George, with the Blue Bell Campers of Bell South Telephone. She enjoyed piecing quilts and shopping trips to Walmart and Kroger and sending cards to her friends. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church since 1964 where she had been a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the XYZ Senior Adult Group at Immanuel.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, George R. Moore; a son, Steve R. Moore; daughter, Barbara N. York; grandson, Shane Moore; her parents; and brothers, Granville, Chester and Vernon Leach.
She is survived by her daughter, Rose Ellen Brown (Allen Leroy); daughter-in-law, Cathy Moore; grandchildren, Brian T. York, Tracey Partin (Tony), Heather Moore, Ashley Moore, Heath Moore (Bobbi), Brian K. Brown (Becky); great-grandchildren, Carrie Jacques, Tarl Jacques, Taylor Downey; nephews, Granville, Michael Wayne and Vernon Leach and Keller Moore; and niece Sandy Frakes. Also surviving is her beloved pet granddaughter, Gracie Allen.
Pallbearers will be Brian York, Brian Brown, Heath Moore, Tarl Jacques, Tony Partin and Terrill Jackson. Honorary bearers will be Granville, Michael Wayne and Vernon Leach, the deacons of Immanuel Baptist Church and members of the XYZ Senior Adult Group of Immanuel Baptist Church.
