Raymond Harp, 91, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
Services for Mr. Harp will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Napier officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home Friday from 5-7 p.m.
A native of Franklin County, he was born December 16, 1922, to James Samuel and Mary Rose McNally Harp. Mr. Harp proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired as a manager for a local Chevrolet dealership. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing golf and making quilts.
He is survived by two sons, Gary R. (Beth) Harp and Stephen L. (Judy) Harp; grandchildren, Rae Carol Ennis (Brad), Ben Harp (Allison), Sara Jones (Chris) and Amber Lee Hamp (Conrad); and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Harp was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Pauline “Polly” Kring Harp, who passed away in 1998; his parents; brothers, Woodrow and Kenneth Harp; and sisters, Dorothy Gordon and Elizabeth Clark.
