Dolores Louise Moore Hammond, age 85, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Golden Living Center-Frankfort.
Services for Ms. Hammond will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Wade Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
A native of Franklin County, she was born January 27, 1928, to late Lawrence and Stella B. Hudson Moore. Ms. Hammond retired from Bryant’s Pic Pac where she worked in the meat department. She was a member of West Frankfort Church of God.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. Survivors include her children, Steve Thomas Hammond, Gregory Scott Hammond (Bonnie), Sharon Conway (Barry); four grandsons, Jeff Hammond (Teresa), Barry Scott Conway Jr. (Roxanne), Daniel T. Conway, John David Conway; a granddaughter, Brianna Taulbee; eight great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one niece; three nephews; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Ruth Moore; a sister, Marjorie Elizabeth Baker; an adopted sister, Esther Sharon Payton; and her former husband and friend, Hugh Thomas Hammond.
