CALVERT CITY, Ky. — Peter Walter Wolff, 67 of Gilbertsville, Kentucky died on Monday, February 3, 2014, at Marshall Co. Hospital E.R. in Benton, Kentucky. He was retired from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet where he worked as an Engineer. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Calvert City, and a veteran of the US Army where he honorably served his country during the Vietnam Era.
He was a member of many organizations, including: the Society of Professional Engineers, president of the State Retirees Association, member of the Lions Club in Calvert, president of the Marshall County Library Board of Trustees, and member of the Railroad Museum Board in Paducah, Ky.
Born Monday, December 30, 1946 in New Jersey, he was the son of the late Edwin Wolff and the late Clara (Pall) Wolff.
Surviving are his wife: Joyce (Cliff) Wolff of Gilbertsville, Ky.; sons: David Wolff, wife Amy of Gilbertsville, Ky., Tom Roberts, wife Lori of Peewee Valley, Ky., Todd Roberts, wife Valerie of Tavineer, Fla., and Tim Roberts of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; daughter: Karol Wilson, husband Scott of Lexington, Ky.; brothers: Thomas Wolff, wife Karen of Cincinatti, Ohio and George Wolff, wife Jeanni of Pilot Point, Texas; and 1 grandchild: David Alexander Wolff of Gilbertsville, Ky.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Calvert City First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Ewing officiating.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday at the church.
