Nellie C. Brumback, 86, wife of the late Ural Brumback, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014, at her home. She was born on April 14, 1927, in Anderson County to the late William and Nora Lane Cornn. Mrs. Brumback retired from National Distillery after 36 years as an assembly line worker. She was a member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, VFW Women’s Auxiliary Post 4075, United Wine Workers Union and the Senior Citizens Center.
Mrs. Brumback is survived by her son, Jerry W. (Pat) Brumback of Jacksonville, FL; her sister, Virgie Burleson; her brother, Bronson Cornn; her grandchildren, Shari (John) Long, Brian (Sherry) Brumback, both of Frankfort, and Ashley Brumback of Louisville; and her great-grandchildren, Matt and Cassie Long and Branson and Sheldon Brumback, all of Frankfort.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Goldie Johnson, and her brothers, Alvie Cornn, Ollie Cornn, Marvin Cornn and Lois Cornn.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brumback will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5th at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd., with Rev. Todd Lester officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Brumback, Branson Brumback, John Long, Sheldon Brumback, Matt Long and Bill Burleson. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.clarklegacycenter.com.
