Patty Allison

Patricia “Patty” Groves Allison, 39, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer and surrounded by her loving family.

Services for Patty will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Lester officiating.  Committal services will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be at the church Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and on Friday beginning at 11 a.m. until the service hour.

Patty was born in Franklin County on September 12, 1974, to Dale Howard Groves and the late Peggy Joyce Hall Groves.  She was a former employee of Commonwealth Credit Union where she was a Loan Supervisor.

Patty is survived by her husband of 18 years, Joe Allison; her father; children, Tabitha Brooke Allison, Dustin Scott Allison and Ethan Thomas Allison; granddaughter, Madison Aubrey Peck, who knew her as “Gigi”; brother, Billy Groves (Michelle); sisters, Missy Chapman (Dean) and Angie Howard.  Also surviving are nephews and nieces, Josh Napier, Mackenzie Napier, Chasity Groves, Randall Howard, Tyler Groves, David Johnson; great-nephew, Riley Napier; and great-niece, Zoey Fisher.

Honorary pallbearer, Dustin Allison, will precede the active pallbearers — Randall Howard, Billy Groves, Josh Napier, John Allison, Larry Allison and Dean Chapman.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy are strongly suggested to the Franklin County Relay for Life in Patty’s memory.

    My family has prayed so much for your wife and your family in the past few months. We are heartbroken for your loss and know the Patty will forever live in our Hearts, Minds and Memories. She was always such a wonderful person and such fun to be around! She will be missed but not forgotten.
