LAWRENCEBURG — Virginia Frances Woolums Douglas, 96, formerly of Frankfort and widow of Howard B. Douglas, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014.
Funeral services for Mrs. Douglas will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014, at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home. Brother Burt Paden will officiate with her son, Ronald Douglas assisting. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
Mrs. Douglas was born in Franklin County on June 19, 1917, the daughter of the late Charles B. and Fannie Mae Davis Woolums. She was a caregiver, a “Proverbs 31 woman,” and member of Church of Christ, Lawrenceburg.
She is survived by her children, Howard E. Douglas, Ronald Douglas (Linda), and Patricia Lynn Sutton (Fred); adopted brother, Charles Woolums; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great, great-great, great-great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three children, JoAnn Cotton, Paul W. Douglas, Charles H. Douglas; and two brothers, William and Everette Woolums.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
