  • To the Family and friends of Shellie DeVal Jones, I extend deepest condolences.

I was an old friend from her school years in Detroit, Michigan.  We went through grade school at McKenny Elementary, Taft Junior High, and even at Cass Technical High School together.  She was a loyal and faithful friend, always there with kindness and support for me and my band mates, FEVER.  She sewed our costumes when we competed in the Michigan State Battle of the Bands, in Muskegon (and I still have the orange lame bell bottom pants in my closet).  We were clarinet buddies in junior high school, always a battle for 1st chair first clarinet, and we competed together in duets and ensembles always winning blue ribbons.  She was on my thoughts frequently, and I will miss her.  Farewell, Michelle.  Love you always.  Mark
