Helen Tracy Metts, 92, widow of the late Eugene Metts, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. She was born on June 11, 1921 in Franklin County to the late Alfred and Anna Lee Hensley Tracy. Helen worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles and was a member of Westview Baptist Church. She was a faithful volunteer of the prison ministry and enjoyed writing poetry that expressed her faith.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Gene Rose, Joyce Metts and Kathy (Bobby) Casey, all of Frankfort; her sisters, Elois Polsgrove of Frankfort and Freda Combs of Versailles; her five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road with the Rev. Gary Hager officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Casey, Daryl Casey, Ash Loman, John Kaelin, Drew Kaelin and Dusty Rhodes. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
