RICHMOND — David Lee Thompson, 63, of Madison County, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014, in the IC Unit of Baptist Health — Lexington.
He was born August 16, 1950 in Carlisle, Kentucky to Carl Lee Thompson and the late Virginia Dare Brown Thompson, of Frankfort. He was a Vietnam veteran of the U. S. Air Force, and had retired from Eastern Kentucky University’s Information and Technology Services Department staff and faculty.
David is survived by his wife, Patricia K. Blankenship Thompson, a step-daughter and son-in-law, Heather Bree and Charles Michael Arvin of Berea and Richmond; his father, Carl Lee Thompson of Frankfort, Kentucky, as well as several cousins in and around the Lexington and Frankfort areas.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with Grant Mathes officiating.
Entombment will follow at Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
