INDIANA, Pa. — Shawn Matthew Marsh, 28, of Indiana, died Sunday, May 18, 2014, as the result of a fire at his home. Born April 16, 1986, in Indiana, he was a son of Kathleen Rae (Hess) Marsh, of Indiana and Ronald Quay Marsh and his wife Judy, of Enola. He was the fiancé of Nickole Novak, who also perished in the fire.
The owner of Marsh Tree Service of Indiana, he attended Purchase Line and Indiana High Schools. He attended Kenwood Church of the Nazarene.
Shawn loved being with his family. He enjoyed fishing and working with trees. He was an environmentalist and appreciated “green” technologies. He ate healthy foods, was a fitness enthusiast and stayed in shape. He was a kind and loving father.
He is survived by his parents and by two of his children, Eva Novak and Shawn Marsh, Jr. He is survived by his brother Ronald W. Marsh of Cookport. The following aunts and uncles survive him as well: Cindy Giardina and her husband Joe of New Castle; Wayne “Bud” Hess of Commodore; and Sandy Iseman of Dixonville. He also leaves behind several cousins.
He was joined in death by his fiancée Nickole and daughter, Gabbriella. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Wayne Francis Hess, maternal grandmother Lola Jean (Lewis) Hess and by his paternal grandparents, Quay and Geraldine Marsh.
