Dolores Lee Harp Aldridge, 78 years, widow of Wilmer Aldridge Sr., passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home on Thursday, June 5, 2014.
Services for Mrs. Aldridge will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Rayborn officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
Mrs. Aldridge was born December 14, 1935, in Franklin County and was the daughter of the late Lindsey K. and Dorothy Lee Hicks Harp. She retired from Jones Plastic. Mrs. Aldridge was a member of St. John Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ruth Perry.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who treasured the time she spent with her family. Survivors include three sons, Wilmer Aldridge Jr. (Mary), Lindsey Paul Aldridge (Rhonda), Philip Wayne Aldridge (Buffey); daughter, Debra Kay Cheak (John); 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Ella Akins (William), Linda Richter, Diona Frederick; a brother-in-law, Curtis Perry; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Lindsey Aldridge, Philip Aldridge, Micheal Aldridge, Floyd Aldridge, Eugene Moore and Mark Wilson. Honorary bearers are William Akins, Philip Aldridge, Jr. and John Cheak.
