Donald ‘Don’ Stice

Funeral services for Donald “Don” L. Stice, 72 of Frankfort, will be 6 p.m. Wednesday at LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will be 12 p.m., CST, Thursday at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, Ky. with full military honors by American Legion Post 40 Military Funeral Detail and Honor Guard. 

Don passed away Saturday at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, Ky. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 14, 1941. Don grew up in Eddyville, Kentucky and graduated from Lyon County High School. He then went to Murray State University where he received a bachelor’s in business. While living in Frankfort for several years he worked in personnel administration. He also served his country proudly in the Army. Don was a member of Camp Pleasant Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, Natalia Kellough Stice, Frankfort; son, Rev. Bruce Wyne, Frankfort; granddaughter, Maggie Demaree Perry (Nate), Cincinnati; great-granddaughter, Briella Perry, Cincinnati; brothers, Weldon Stice, Nashville, and Tom Stice, Frankfort; sister, Judy Stice, Elizabethtown; and three nieces. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Laverne Henson Stice, and a daughter, Sherry Demaree. 

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral.
