Robert Thomas Courtney, age 91, of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, July 20, at his home. Born April 21, 1923 he was the son of the late Temple Courtney and Della Mullin.
Robert was a mechanic by trade and ran the Courtney Service Center in Warsaw.
He is preceded in death by one son, Roger Thomas Courtney; one grandchild, Connie Faith Bascus; two brothers, John and Vernon Courtney; and three sisters, Thelma Wallace, Eula Dean Lillard and Stella Mae Adams.
Robert was survived by his wife, Edith McCless Courtney; two sons Rick Courtney of Frankfort and Morris Courtney of Warsaw; one daughter, Elizabeth Randolph of Evansville, Ind.; six grandchildren, Starlene Johnson, Tracy Newton, Lauren Hayes, Tara Shobe, Justin and Jordan Courtney, along with nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services for Robert will be held Wednesday, July 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw, with the funeral starting at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery.
