Marilyn Monroe, 72, of Frankfort, passed away Friday at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Marilyn was born on June 9, 1942 in Versailles, Ky. to the late James and Katherine Redmon. Marilyn is survived by her husband William Monroe Sr., her children William (Marie) Monroe Jr., Tammy (Dan) Cook, Robert Monroe, James (Bonnie) Monroe, Herbert (Sarah) Monroe, Lisa (Mario) Perez, Larry (Shannon) Monroe, Johnny (Rhonda) Monroe, Danny (Diane) Monroe, all of Frankfort, also Pattie (Rod) McDowell of Indiana, 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son Charlie (Cara) Monroe.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday Aug. 5, at the Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road with Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Clark Legacy Center. Online condolences may be left at clarklegacycenter.com.
