Services for Frederick Eugene Hodges, 84, Frankfort, will be noon Friday at LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home. Ray Holdern will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hodges died Tuesday at his residence. A native of Harlan, he grew up in London where he served as president of the London Junior Chamber of Commerce from 1964-65. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served as trooper and radio dispatcher with the Kentucky State Police, London Post. He was director of driver licensing and deputy director for the Administrative Office of the Courts.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Hodges; parents, Mary Ruth and Willis Errol Hodges; and brother, Simeon Philip Hodges III.
Survivors include his sons, Phillip (Carol) Hodges and Joseph (Bobbie) Hodges; daughter, Ruth (Charlie) Newton; and brother, Robert (Evelyn) Hodges, all of Frankfort; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Newton, Dawson Newton, Matthew Conway, Meleanie Hodges, Josh Hodges and Phillip D. Newton.
