Actually, recent history does not support the allegations made by oxygenthieves, or for that matter all of the crap that they have gleaned on the Republican's own TV network, FOX News. ................................................................................................................................................................................................This stuff isn't that hard to fact check and all of it has been serious debunked previously, so I will just address the main tenet offered by ihate... ................................................................................................................................................................................................ After the election in 2008, Barack Obama’s economic advisers started working on a plan to lessen the pain of the Great Recession. Ten days before he assumed office, they examined the preliminary economic data from the fourth quarter of 2008 and put together a chart showing the impact of the recovery plan. But what no one knew in the Obama Administration in January 2009 was how devastating things had been the previous three months. Obama’s advisers were working off data that showed the economy had contracted 3.8 percent. About seven weeks later, it was revised to 6.2 percent. There have been four more revisions since then and we now know the economy contracted 8.9 percent during the final three months of 2008. About 1.9 million jobs were lost in October, November and December of 2008. Another 818,000 jobs vanished in January of 2009. In the end, the hole the economy had to climb out of was more than twice as deep as originally thought. ................................................................................................................................................................................................ Don't tell anybody but the 2009 Obama stimulus worked, considering that the stock market was 6,500 when the President took office and is now 13,000, and we have had 30 consecutive months of positive yet modest private sector job growth, and GM is a profitable company (saved 12,000,000 jobs), AND that all of Obama's programs and even those of the Dubya Bush programs/wars are paid for which is a vast difference to just 4 years ago when everything that Bush had hung us with was on the credit card. ................................................................................................................................................................................................ The president is not likely to get credit for the transformative law for which he was fully responsible: the 2009 stimulus, which fundamentally turned around the nation’s economy and its prospects for growth, and yet has disappeared from the political conversation. ................................................................................................................................................................................................ The reputation of the stimulus is meticulously restored from shabby to skillful in Michael Grunwald’s important new book, “The New New Deal.” His findings will come as a jolt to those who think the law “failed,” the typical Republican assessment, or was too small and sloppy to have any effect. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is responsible for saving and creating 2.5 million jobs. The majority of economists agree that it helped the economy grow by as much as 3.8 percent, and kept the unemployment rate from reaching 12 percent. ................................................................................................................................................................................................ The stimulus is the reason, in fact, that most Americans are better off than they were four years ago, when the economy was in serious danger of shutting down. But the stimulus did far more than stimulate: it protected the most vulnerable from the recession’s heavy winds. Of the act’s $840 billion final cost, $1.5 billion went to rent subsidies and emergency housing that kept 1.2 million people under roofs. (That’s why the recession didn’t produce rampant homelessness.) It increased spending on food stamps, unemployment benefits and Medicaid, keeping at least seven million Americans from falling below the poverty line.
Some people watch too much Fox news......
I am no Romney fan, but his brain is better than Obama's. Lets look at some Obama promises and things that have happened in his 4 years. If you pass my trillion $ stimulus plan unemployment will not reach 8%. Well its four years later and not only reached 8% but was over 10 and still today is above 8%. He has spent more than all U.S. Presidents combined. More people are welfare than ever in history. The U.S. credit rating dropped for the first time. Major cities are having to declare for bankruptcy. His shovel ready projects weren't quites shovel ready. He still hasn't closed gitmo. He didn't put every bill online before he signed it. He still hasn't stopped pork projects. His campaign actually made the statement this week that he is not taking money from lobbyists and special interests groups( ye right). He bows down to every foreign leader. He warns terrorists and plays kissy kissy be friendly with those countries. Passed healthcare law, but instead of my costs going down mine have gone up. Ye I know I gotta wait ten years before I see the benefits. If you believe that I got some dry swamp land in Louisiana to sell you. Mrs. Obama and Biden cry that voter ID laws are similar to women being prevented to vote and Jim Crow days. Yet the Obama administration dismissed charges against the Black Panthers dressed in military style uniforms, with sticks, intimidating voters even after they refused to show up for court. His AG says he knows nothing about fast and furious which contributed to deaths of 2 border patrol agents. Yet emails confirm he did (oh thats right it was a different fast and furious case he was talking about in the email ). The national debt has reached an all time high even though he promised to cut it in half. So whats he campaigning on this year? Well just last week he told union workers he promises another 1 million jobs, but its gonna require re-election and another 4 years. hhmm Didn't he say he was gonna do it in the first 4? He did promise "to bankrupt" the coal industry and its on its way there. He did promise to make energy prices "skyrocket" under his plan (taken a look at your utility bill lately?
But to answer the original question directly, "WHAT'S ON MITT'S MIND?", the obvious answer is HAIR (and very nice looking hair too, and isn't that really all that counts?)! ................................................................................................................................................................................................ I can't believe that President Obama is losing to this guy in KY, after all, look at the fine upstanding statesmen whom we have chosen to "lead" us in the US Senate! (slight joke in two ways)
Note: the "****" is the contraction for "he will" which the censor picked up as H-E-double hockey sticks. 'Puters!
The "problem" with Mitt Romney's brain is easy...he is a high functioning autistic. He can't help himself and others can't help him either. When he is off the teleprompter, no matter how much coaching he gets (and believe me, he gets the best coaching that money that unlimited corporate money can buy), he just says the darnedest things! Let's face it, every time Mitt gets his hands on the ball he makes up a new play. He can't remember which position that he is supposed to take or what he said last time, so his campaign is always having to correct him by saying that that was not what he "meant". So they limit his "touches" even though his investors, er ah, supporters wonder why he isn't campaigning very much. And this is the guy that KY is going to vote for in November? Really? ................................................................................................................................................ As things go South for Romney the circular firing squad in his own party has already formed. The criticism of Romney from Republicans comes in 2 varieties: his views and his inept campaign message. ................................................................................................................................................ Recently, Mark McKinnon, Dubya's ad guru, said "How can anyone support a candidate with this kind of vision of the country?" ................................................................................................................................................ For obvious reasons, Republican pundit David Brooks who calls him Thurston Howell Romney, after the shallow Gilligan' Island character, says "...he really doesn't know much about the country that he inhabits" and "Romney's comments reveal that he has lost any sense of the social compact of this country." ................................................................................................................................................ Republican strategist Alex Castellanos said, "At first I thought this was some kind of April Fool's Joke (the 47%)! I just can't imagine why they would do this." ................................................................................................................................................ Mathew Dowd, former top strategist for Dubya said, "It's almost like Sarah Palin is his foreign policy advisor." ................................................................................................................................................ Craig Robinson, Iowa GOP Political Director said, "I hate to say this, but if Ryan wants to run for national office again, **** probably have to wash the stench of Romney off of him." Yes, he used the term "stench"! ................................................................................................................................................ As Kentuckians line up and vote for Romney, maybe they should set up showers outside the booth so that they can wash the Romney stench off of them too. You get the government that you deserve.
