Entries are needed for the countywide Student Art Show, sponsored by the Capital Area Art Guild, which will be held March 1-31.
The show will be in the fourth floor Community Room of Farmers Bank downtown during regular banking hours. The exhibition is divided into two different shows: grades K-6, March 1-15, and grades 7-12, March 16-31.
Each student may submit one piece of art work in any medium. Each piece must have the childs name, grade, teacher and school on the back, or properly attached to the three-dimensional work. Please print the name of the child on the front, right hand corner of the matt.
All work from K-6 should be turned in to your schools office, to be picked up by the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 28. All work from grades 7-12 students should be turned in to the school office by the morning of Tuesday, March 14. Home school parents can contact Sallie Clay Lanham, 695-4472, for pick up or for more information. The art work will be returned following the exhibition.
Because of the large amount of work received last year and the limited space at the bank, we are asking each school to limit their total student work to 60 pieces.
For more information call Lanham 695-4472.
