This year's array of juried arts and crafts at Capital Expo, June 1-3, is varied yet packed with jewelers and everyone loves jewelry.

There will be 76 booths with more than 44 of them from 18 counties here in Kentucky . Additionally 10 other states are represented.

Favorites including Arndt's Fudge, personalized children's pottery, primitive dolls and candles, leatherwork, wood work, woven rugs and mats, baskets and paintings will be open from noon on Thursday until 9 p.m. Saturday .New categories this year include game boards and walking sticks.

Amazing and educational vendors will be demonstrating.

There is a quilter, a bee observatory, and a national ward craftswoman using hand tools in a tree trunk fashioning sliver bracelets and hoop earrings. Another demonstration features a craftswoman making the popular spoon jewelry and bookmarks from vintage iced teaspoons. See glass beads crafted and strung while you are browsing. Remember many of the artisans will be plying their work for future shows believing there should be no idle time.
