The 2006 Frankfort Expo Festival Entertainment schedule has been released. Expo is set for June 1-3 at the Civic Center Complex.
Back by popular demand the Frankfort Idol Finals will be held, Thursday, June 1, starting at 8:30 p.m. The top two winners from a five-week contest will compete for the $1,000 grand prize. On Friday evening Artie Dean Harris, a rising country music star, will perform from 8 p.m. until midnight.
Saturday night Handsome Devils will be performing prior to regions largest fireworks show. Expo closes with music provided by DJ Junie Redden. For a full listing of all the entertainment and more details on other events visit www.kyexpo.com.

June quilt show
Those wishing to exhibit in the juried 2006 Kentucky Heritage Quilt Society Annual Quilt Show are invited to obtain a contract or additional information from Marilou Jacobs, 4010 Poplar Level Rd., Apt. 5, Louisville, KY 40213, (502) 458-0993.
The show is set for June 15-17 at Baer Fabrics, 515 E. Market St., Louisville. The theme is Time Out and the show is open to Kentucky residents or KHQS members. Show chairs are Jacobs and Sandy McCoy. Theyve arranged for the worlds smallest quilt to be displayed.

The Franklin County High School class of 1964 is planning a 60th birthday reunion celebration for May 20, 6 p.m.-1 a.m. Dress is casual and the cost is $25 per person.
